A different kind of Crown Vic light bar...

So this morning I was at the junkyard hunting down some little parts to put the finishing touches on a car I am flipping when they dumped a Crown Vic at the end of the next row up from me. I grabbed this off of it, just for the heck of it. Something different!

I have a mini liberty prototype bar for taxi ID, this reminded me I was going to make a video... not to steal your thunder, this is a cool find.

Very uncommon find. Neat to have. I would have totally gotten it too just for the fun factor. Most junkyard runs, I don't find anything.

I want to see that prototype!
I will make a separate post later to avoid totally hijacking this thread. Here's a few not cropped pictures for now. These are thumbnails, click them to enlarge. It is model number "PROTO-TAXI", build date 11-2005. I got it from a member here who likely has better pics of it. It has "on duty", "off duty", R alley, and L alley modes. The lighted sigs have the old smaller diode LED 500 series behind them, the alleys are halogen. I can imagine you could wire the alleys to the door switches or a to a controller. Obviously it is a prototype, but I'd love to see the center used more. An amber warning light or front/rear flood light would have been nice, but the "Lightbars by Whelen" sign makes sense for a prototype.
