Hello, I've been toying with the idea of switching out the remote that comes with the carson sc1022 volunteer and wiring up my own custom rotary switch and toggle switch. Before I start playing around, I was wondering if anyone knows how the siren tones are activated on the sc1022, is it ground activation or power?

I noticed that there are pins for the siren tones on the control box and I'd like to wire straight to that but I dont know how they're activated. My other option is to mess around with the actual remote and attempt to wire up the switches to that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

If I'm thinking correctly it has a couple of on/off/on rocker switches? If so use a voltage tester on the wire on the center of the switch to find out if its ground, 12v, or differnt voltage. You then should be able to use that wire on the input of your rotary and have the outputs go to each tone you want
