Happy Labor day 2018 all!

I haven't take a road trip for lights in quite some time.. this one was located in the Philly area and was on CL numerous times... the seller at one point wanted $400 for it.. lol I ended up getting it for $50 plus my gas and travel time.

So lets start with this..

I then proceeded to tear the bar down to clean it..

1 side down..

and completed..

driver side finished...

passenger side finished..

and feet installed..

This then leads me to this..

I don't know what I am going to do for domes... I may attempt to just salvage the red/clear domes it came with.
Will need to scrounge up a clear endcap if I decide to do so.

Time will tell.

If the lights are going to be red and clear on both sides an all clear bar would look neat.

This light has appeared and vanished on CL several times.. so this guy has been sitting on it for awhile. I think I just showed up with $$ and he said ok.. which is usually how it goes on CL.. lol

I had messaged back and forth with him on let-go I had offered him 75 for it and he told me they were going for more than that on eBay he just did not want to have to ship it I'm glad you were able to get it for 50

You might get more on eBay, but then again, you might get nothing. $400 if it was NIB, but obviously, this 24RQ is far from being NIB. You did get a good deal for $50 as I think it is a $75 project bar.

I bet the rear facing brackets, which I swear I have seen in the hardware section at Lowe's and Home Depot, were probably going to support rear facing lights and someone could not figure out how to actually attach a light to the bracket.

Well my H7600 bulb order just got squashed.. apparently OOS and no idea if or when they will be back in.

I am not going to pay $20 a bulb so the old ones may stay in after all...

unless someone can point me in the direction of not overpriced H7600s

and @stansdds I removed those brackets as well.. I thought possibly the same they didn't drill any holes and it doesn't appear as if anything was ever mounted to them.

so apparently trying to find 4 h7600 bulbs that are the same is proving to be a challenge. I now have quite the collection but just about all are different... sigh.

I have 3 of 1 type just need to find a 4th.

@shues I believe Wagner is what I have 3 of. Problem is halogen bulb orientation, and faceting of the lense. Different revisions even from the same manufacturer.

I thought FedSig Aerodynics used 4416 and Code 3 XLs used H7600...

Aerodynics (Aerotwin style) used 4464/4416 and the Q variants the H7600
Code 3 uses 7400 bulbs.. for the most part.

@shues This is what I have 3 of.. this may soon be a non issue however as I located red H7600 bulbs and if they don't match I am getting ready to say *(*&#@! it!

picture is loading sideways just an FYI.

Ok wrapping this one up for now.
The ultimate plan is to restore the Red/Clear domes it came with.. but that is on the back burner for now, I just had a fairly major project dropped in my lap so I am going to be busy.

I found a set of blue Aerodynic Domes.. well not really found.. it was a set I had forgotten about and rediscovered while looking for something else.

And for the video folks..

IMHO, the last "Vintage and Collectable" light was the model 12 TwinSonic (given my age group--not quite SSA eligible). But growing up in KY and recalling the KSP white and blue cruisers with the full size TwinSonics, the AeroTwinSonic is the next best thing. Love the all blue setup SV! Great job!

The AeroTwin was a great design. Rotating 4464 sealed beams in the outboard location, just like the TwinSonic. Inboard mirrors that actually had more reflective surface area than the TwinSonic. Room for a single speaker in the center section. No, you could not have two speakers, but a single 100 watt speaker worked great. It was pretty much everything the TwinSonic was, but in a far more aerodynamic package.

I think it looks pretty good in blue.

I agree. I have 1 of these with clear domes and colored bulbs and now this one with blue domes.
I still would like to get the Red and Clear domes usable again.. maybe I will make a video once I am done with it.

Judging by the flash pattern. I would venture a guess to say that is a old philly pd bar. They used that style on the diplomats and some crown vics before going with streethawks in the early 90s.
