I can hear a whine when it is recieving a transmission. it varies with the RPS of the motor.. Presto==---- Alternator noise!!! How do i correct this>> the radio is direct to the battery.

The radio was grounding through the case instead of through its ground wire. Make sure that your ground is better than good, and as close to the radio as possible. Also, make sure your coax is of high quality and has no pinches or exposed shield or tight loops.
