Can I connect two sirens to one speaker?
(Both Siren amps are 200 Watts, speaker is 100 watts/ I will also be using 2 controllers individually)
Is this possible?

Hi everyone, I have a quick question regarding siren setups. Is it possible to hook up two separate sirens to just one speaker, and have them both function properly without damaging the equipment?

Some specific concerns I have:

  • Can both sirens be connected simultaneously, or would this cause interference or damage?
  • Should I use a relay or switch to choose which siren sends output to the speaker at a given time?
  • What should I consider regarding impedance and wattage to avoid overloading the speaker?
If anyone has experience or recommendations, I'd really appreciate your input.

Thanks!

Do not connect both sirens to one speaker simultaneously.

You can use a relay or a switch to select which siren is connected to the speaker. I suggest using a dual pole dual throw (DPDT) switch or relay to help ensure you cannot accidentally connect both sirens to the single speaker simultaneously.

If you make sure to avoid connecting both sirens to the single speaker simultaneously, you won't overload the speaker.
