I have finally been able to take a little time to create a wall of lightbars in my cellar.

First I had to paint the 20ft wall white, then screw 2x4's to the rafters, then hang the shelving track & brackets.

It's not quite as easy as it looks, especially when I was being anal about the spacing and levelling.

I figure that I can get 8 bars on each rack, times 4 racks, that is 32 bars on the wall (take one down, pass it around.. )

I have spaced them so that the first rack, closest to the drier will hold 48" bars, next is 52", next is 52" again, and the farthest will be 48" again.

Only problem is that I have over 70 bars to hang. :? Oh well, it's a start.

Here is the first night, and the test results: (sorry about the stupid cell phone pic.)

Ok, I have been working on this wall a little bit almost every night.

It's almost like piecing together a puzzle, trying to fit bars together by size or catagory.

Once again I apologize for the crappy cell phone pictures. You would think that I could just pass over one lightbar, and use the money for a new camera....maybe soon.

Top to bottom Row 1:

1. Sireno Condor, short California model.

2. Code 3 XL sealed beam, Boston suburb style with all blue front, and red drivers side rear, amber rear cutouts.

3. Force 4 XL halogen, Boston police marked bar, all blue.

4. Force 4 XL halogen, same as bar #2, just not sealed beams.

5. StrobeHawk with NOS domes.

6. Smith & Wesson with NOS domes.

7. AeroDynic 3-1/2 panel. San Diego police marked bar.

8. Kenmore Heavy Duty, 220 volt large drum dryer.

Row 2:

1. AeroDynic, LAPD marked bar with Hella alleys. completely restored & beautiful.

2. AeroTwinsonic, cascade mirrors, NOS blue/clear domes

3. AeroDynic, Baltimore County police, unusual lens set-up.

4. Aerodynic, crossfire in center, NOS clear domes. Original "candycane" domes are being buffed soon.

5. TwinSonic 12F, NOS blue domes. This was on the Craigslist post on here. Great bar to put my 2 NOS domes on.

6. TwinSonic 12X, Movie bar, Universal Studios spec.FX engraved on bottom. Came with a CTS dome on it!!

7. TwinSonic 12x, nothing special, just a 12X.

OK, it's late and I'm going to bed. Stay tuned for the other two rows. Here's a quick shot of the whole wall in progress.

It's getting better and better. :D

Some impressive thing to me are not quite only the bar themselves but the searching and investigation taking place before getting them.

Sure is a nice wall!

Bob,

Looks great although when is your girlfriend going to get you a camera with more than .0005 pixel resolution :D ! Considering how much effort you've put into restoring these, it would be great to see the detail.

Looks very impressive Bob! I hope that people will be able to see and enjoy them tucked in the basement. A lot of people weren't aware of what I had till I moved them from the basement and hung them in the garage.

I'm thinking of sending you my camera so we don't have to look at those crappy pictures! It certainly doesn't do the "wall of lights" any justice!!!!

Ok folks, Here is another row of mostly TwinSonics:

Top to bottom, Row 3:

1. CTS red / blue with white flashing light on top

2. CTS red / green (Christmas CTS)

3. CTS blue / blue with an awesome Ryan "made in Ohio" blue CTS dome.

4. CTS red / red

5. CTS red / blue with the dome tops very professionally painted black. Bulb holder is being cleaned right now.

6. Code 3 SD, California with drivers side Par46 front steady burn, and rear amber Select- alert.

7. Twinsonic 12, blue / amber

8. Twinsonic 12, Amber / red

One more row to go before I start on another wall.

Keep in mind that at $2.95 for each shelf bracket, and $10..00 for each upright, I have about $300.00 into holding these bars up

Here is the start of Row 4. That Whelen Edge is not staying there..too long & thin.

Row 4:

1. Whelen 8000, red / blue with 2 360 degree strobes, cruise lights, and 4 Par46 incandescent flashers (4001 headlamp bulbs)

2. Whelen Advantedge, Boston police marked bar with 4 rotators, flashers, opticom, and the rare "spitfire" endcaps.

3. Whelen Edge, custom made 12 strobe with halo flashers frt & rr. Got this here on the board.

I think that might cause some other CTS owners to raid your room
