Hi I have a 2009 Chevy Tahoe SSV with a factory high beam/reverse flasher and I was wondering how I can separate them. Right now the front and rear are tied into one wire. I have located the flasher unit I just need help to identify the wiring. Thanks.

There is a Dark blue/yellow wire that runs from the Headlight flasher to the BCM under the dash. Circuit 6841. You are supposed to cut that to separate. You ground that wire that goes to the BCM to activate tail flash, and the original headlight flash operates as before independently. On all the trucks I have seen, the cut and splice was made under the hood near the fuse box.
