Code 3 6100 “Busy Beacon”

This is a Code 3 6100 series beacon I built up about the year 2000 or so for use on vehicles for work tasks when I didn’t or couldn’t mount a full light bar. In the housing it has two MR16 EXT takedown / floods, an LP rotator, and a set of stationary flashers made of LP rotators with shiny reflectors but broken gears (a common malady of the LP 6000). Loops of stout wire keeps them immobile, and the lamps are driven by a 360RD flasher. It has an amber filter on the rotator and red/amber filters on the rear stationaries. Small package, but a very useful light. Still use it when it’s needed

Never had a problem with heat, even on 110° days. For some reason, you don't use the takedowns much in the afternoon. :) Also, only two lamps are usually illuminated at any given moment, similar to a two-rotator setup.

That's pretty cool :)

I have a couple broken teeth lp rotators I was gonna toss out, but now this gives me an idea lol (just gotta find another mini lp shell)
