Hi all

I have been lurking for a while, but haven't seen an answer to some of my questions.

First, let me introduce myself. My name is Nathan and I work for a small department in California. I am just a LEO with an expressed interest in equipment, and such have been tasked with equipment related issues while at work.

We have all Code 3 light bars; Mx7000, 2100, 2700, and newest cars coming with the defenders. All of the bars are controlled by a federal touchmaster 3 position controller.

I have a few questions regarding the defenders which hopefully the C3 guys cause chime in.

First off, programming the defenders. Turns out 1 of the 3 has the older software (Haven't checked the newer bars yet). This was done as told by C3, rear lights freeze when touched to programming wire. I'm assuming it is the 600 version, but the sicker on the board said Txx5xx... nothing about 6xx or 8xx as I was told. Is there a 500 version?? What do I have??

2) Currently the #2 position on the defenders activates the front and also the 45* intersection lights. I was told once we upgrade to the 800 series software, I will be able to disable the intersection light heads in the #2 position... but not until I have the 800 series software. I would like the intersection lights to only operate during position #3. Am I on the right track?? How do I turn off the 45* lights in position #2?

3) Is it possible to make a certain currently installed light head a steady burn? Or do we have to buy a new light head with the "steady burn" connector on it?

Thank you guys! I am new and still learning!

You might want to give these guys more than 24 hours. Some of them have hectic work schedules and families.
