Code 3 Freeform filters on older metal reflectors

Hi, I'm converting my older LP6000 from red/blue to clear with amber filters. My bar has the older style metal reflectors, and I was wondering if anyone has tried using the newer free-form filters (which are cheaper and easier to find) on the older metal reflectors, and how they fit. From what I can gather it looks like they'll be too small but I figured that I'd check and see before I buy them. Thanks!

You could, but they would not fill out the entire rotator and you'll get amber/clear flashes instead of just amber. You can still get LP6000 rotator filters in either the rotator-mount version or half-cylinder versions for a reasonable price.
