This is the purchase that almost wasn't. Found a seller with this for a good price and willing to ship. He got it all boxed up and UPS wanted to charge almost $300! So he took the whole thing apart and shipped the frame and domes and parts separate via FedEx for around $100 total.

Got it last week and just got to putting it together and a quick shine up. It could use some wet sanding at a later date, but I'm happy with it now. It came off of a fire truck, so the rear is empty. Nothing too special, but you all know I like to document and share the majority of my finds. :)

Nice I like how yours is setup with clear domes and filters.

I also got one last week, but was setup as r/r/c/r/r for some colors and no lower lights except sweeps, now it was 4 red front flashers, takedowns and 2 red rear flashers

Very cool. It was probably easier to protect the parts in the packaging than a full bar. Not to mention a 70 inch MX in one piece would have needed two men and a boy to put it on the brown truck. lol

Yes, arrived safely without any issues and the carrier's didn't seem to loathe me like they have with some other lights, haha.

Wow, super nice (and jealous). Intersection sweeps and an opticom, best of both worlds.
Those were the deciding options in me purchasing it. I've never had an MX7000 because I've never found one with the opticom and sweeps. Just so happened it was also 70"... Which just adds to the cool factor in my mind

You know how we all ask for a video when someone buys some new toy? I'm surprised no one asked what the amperage draw was on this.

Finally had a night to start adding to this with the parts from ChargerLighting. Added rear sweeps with filters, rear flashers next to those, front takedowns, and began installing the six head arrowstick. Problem is the opticom... It's bulky and in the way... But I want it still. My mind is fried so I'm going to finish it another day. I am determined to get both in there though.

My math skills are still bad, as I bought too many arrowstick pieces, but I potentially have an idea for another project for those. Here are a few updated photos.

Looks awesome! You could throw one more pair of ambers in the rear and make that a 8 head arrow stick:D.

I love the mx7000, I built one with 4 sweeps, loaded to the gills with lightheads. Such a versatile platform, easy to modify and always a classic look.

Great job! Now it'll necessitate a new video!

Very nice mister! I agree with the 8 lamp SM. 6 looks just a little short in that long beast! Plus it would fill in the rest of those little gaps too
