This is our command/2nd rescue truck. It is a 2000 Chevy 3/4 ton with a 454. It was our brush truck until we built one (see completed brush truck). It already had an HLF and 4 strobe and 6 flasher edge. I added 2 front and 2 rear HAW's and the 4 700 series strobes to the side. I was donated the 295SLSA6 by the local distributor and bought the radio off the board. We bought the camper shell for $25. It needs something to the rear, but haven't really looked.

Nice use of used equipment! I like the 700's on the side. Is there room for an arrow of some type at the top rear of the cap?

You might want to double check the rear graphics -the chevron stripes are aimed into the center of the vehicle instead of away from it. Probably not a big deal given that they are more for reflective value than the brightly colored NFPA Chevrons.

Why the excessive side and front amber?

John, its all I had without spending more money.

Fed signal, I have nothing else to put there for now, I would like to stay with strobe but what I put back there will be unsyncd with the HAW's in the tail lights since I have no more outlets on the 6 outlet supply.

It was just a thought for the rear - Put a TA on for rear warning since they are relatively cheap on the used market. You can probably even find one with flashing or strobe ends with a little luck.

I was thinking above the rear window on the outside shell if there's room, but you might want to mount it inside so that it's still visible if you have the door up.

If I had 4 more 700 series lense, I would change them. The fd want buy them and I don't want to donaye anymore right now. Everything on here and all the lights and siren on the brush truck were donated by me.

I will try and locate an advisor.

That's pretty generous that you donated all the lights. I would do anything for my FD but when it comes to money, that's what our contract is for.

My intentions were not to donate all the lights, but the chief started bitching when I was $500 over budget on the brush truck. And that was just the truck, bed, paint, and lettering. If the fd had to but the lights I put on it it would have been $500 or more.

I understand what you mean, Andrew. Sometimes in a volunteer department, you have to do the best you can with what you have. The amber lights are better than no lights at all.

Yup too much amber but it shouldent cost more than 40 bucks to replace all those ambers to red but its true better some light then no light at all.

What if you moved the front pair of 700's and put them on the back of the camper shell above the window? Would they fit there? On the side you already have some light from the Edge bar and maybe some light from the HAWs plus the 700 that would remain.
