Looking for something smaller. I have a 5.11 Covert 18, which is nice kit, but a bit large. Hard to fit under airplane seats, and I'd like to carry it on my bike. Need room for a tablet, handgun, and other murse items (Man-pURSE). What are you guys using?

I have a Briefcase that i use for my paperwork, other things, brochures, camera, cables, pens, etc, and in the empty side I put in one of my Spare Ballistic III/IVa Panels so I can Hold it up in front of me in case I need to!

Officers who go through a class and advise the airlines ARE allowed to carry on a plane...

Plus he didn't say that's what he uses it for... Notice he said for his BIKE as well?

I use conor outdoor products for most of my gear. Haven't let me down yet. 2 bug out kits (mine/other half), truck/search/water rescue bags. They have some good videos on their site. Lots of sizes as well.

Calm down, Jazz.
Philly has the certs. for that. He probably has more training than most Air Marshals.

Hey Pete, thanks for the vote of confidence. Retired in 2014, so no more carrying on planes. I couldn't use this anyway, since I have to have the weapon accessible at all times. Means I would have to carry the bag to the can if I had to go.

Funny story, we were doing an extradition from Newark area to Norfolk. New Jersey is really screwed up. Leaving with our prisoner in tow, we get escorted around the metal detectors but our bags go through Xray. One of the tsa clones sees a small knife and nail clippers in our bags and goes berserk. Both of us are carrying. Then, when we're logging in, one of the cops asks about our ammo (Winchester SXT) and pitches a fit since we can't carry hollow points in NJ:eek:.

We have met the enemy, and he is US!!

Still running your Streethawk retirement home?

That's a crazy adventure. Those northeast states have some weird laws. Thank God we live in Virginia.
Most of my StreetHawk stuff is gone. I've been messing with Whelen Edge and Code3 MX stuff lately.

If you were LE you most certainly can carry hollow-points in NJ

I agree. But, other than myself, two other officers from my agency on official business were hassled for JHP ammo. Seems someone up there didn't get the word.

Not to mention poor civilians who mistakenly cross the state line.

To be fair, I had officers stop an out of state officer and go berserk cause the guy was carrying.
