Ok, I had this like new Soundoff 28 series remote strobe dash light laying around. I also had a pair of r/b t.r.i. laws that I removed from my previous vehicle. So I took apart the dash light a saw that it was a 1" twist lock strobe similar to a haw strobe in there. I simply removed the strobe and inserted the led haw. I also used the existing cables, since these lights are compatible with strobe cables. Look the link below for the type of light housing I used...

I know why it wasn't as bright in my vehicle as it was in my house...I had it hooked up to a external power supply that was plugged into the oem transformer that is in the center console. It probably wasn't getting the proper voltage like in the house...

I have to get an extension cord and try the videos again...

so you need to use colored LEDs behind the colored lenses? i put the new style Sound Off LED HAW's in the red brake light of a Crown Vic the other day playing around and it looked pretty good?
