I have a light bar dome I am currently trying to restore. As you can see in the photos, the decal on the end of the dome has partially come off. I am trying to remove the remainder of the decal but am having difficulty getting it off. I tried using Goof Off and letting it soak over night, but that hasn’t helped. I am open to any suggestions that may have worked for you.1ED761E6-948E-4D3D-9A6D-8F2915ED5B71.jpeg

Depending on how you plan on restoring the dome, have you considered sanding it off? When I restore domes I wetsand and buff. Otherwise a plastic scraper and a lot of elbow grease would be my next step after the googone

I can not say for this sticker but most of the time I use a hairdryer to get the glue to ”melt” and the sticker can be removed.

The remaining glue can then be removed by a cloth with methylated alcohol, gasoline or kerosene depending of the glue and the type of plastic.

Be careful of the temperature so the plastic do not disform.

I haven't tried using heat yet. I plan to wet sand the overall dome but wasn't sure whether or not that would work on getting the decal off.

From experiance sandpaper will get the tags and goo. They clog the paper very quick but thats what I have done in the past. When dealing with a pitted or gouged dome I start with 400 grit. Also might try a fine wire wheel.

If I were in your shoes, I would try using lighter fluid. Something like Ronsonol:

In my experience, lighter fluid will not harm the lens like acetone or MEK might.
