Hello all,

My recent pick from the bay. It is in very good used condition with a full uncut cord. Minor scuffs on the dome and some white paint flecks that are easily removed. I have not polished the dome or cleaned it as yet. Also came with metal dash plate. Fully functional and with a fast flash rate(100+ FPM).

Nice one! I have one of those, with an amber dome, that rides under the seat in my car. I did swap in a 795X halogen bulb for improved light output. These Dietz and Tuff-Built 7-07's are well built, durable and the same size as Federal's Fireball, but less expensive to buy.

Oh, and I have a Tuff-Built version (red dome) and a new, still in the box Dietz, red dome, and the box is labeled as a Yankee 1166.

Nice find Chris  Any chance of getting a vid up? I'd love to see it going especially with that higher flash rate. Im use to the more standard 90fpm :haha:

Thanks everyone for the comments so far.

When I get this light cleaned up it may find its way into the classifieds as I haven't decided if I am going to keep it in the collection or not. I have a Tuff Bilt in red that was a former Indiana State Police light(still has the property label on the bottom).

These are basically the same light. I know its a little off topic but just for reference.

Well built lights to be sure. I am a teardrop/fireball fan to be sure though:thumbsup:

Having markings that identify a light with a specific agency adds to its value in my opinion.

The only camera available for video is my phone and it doesn't do justice. It is rotating at almost 2 flashes a second so its in the 100FPM rate range, give or take a few. I'm not sure what they were rated at when new, but I do know it is faster than the SVP 1166 that I have under the seat in my truck.

I agree with both of you. That is why the TB will remain in the collection despite the fact the the DZ is in better condition.

Thanks !!!
