Difference between Edges

Not sure if this is the right spot or not but figured it'd be a start.

Gonna ask a question I should know but can't find anything on. Would lIke to know before I start searching for either one to put on my jeep.

What is the difference between the Edge 9000 and the Edge 9M? I've tried downloading pdf manuals from Whelen's website but it and my tablet don't like each other so it won't download anything.

Frame nuances, lighthead type, and lenses. 9000 uses various specific slide in light assemblies. 9m uses 400 series in pop in mounts.

If you have a choice, go with the 9M. Much easier to service, down
the road. Whelen moved the power supplies on the 9M. They mounted them
to the interior vertical web of the frame. This allows you to put heads
all around the frame. The 9M4S power supplies (up to 3) are 4 head and have
a momentary pattern wire that lets you scroll through 10 different patterns.
With the 9M endcap, you can mount any 400 series head directly in the
endcap (halogen or strobe).

Ok. That's what I was figuring would be the better choice. I'm hoping to get an email back from someone today about a price on one. Depending on what he wants, I may end up shopping around on here.

I never could figure out the Edge bars. The 2 I had were either one of the 1st bars Whelen came out with or one that was a 9000 with 9M parts.

The Edge 9000 was around for quite some time with MANY different
configurations over the years (internals and lens optics).
You'll be very happy with the 9M.
