A few weeks back I found a 74-5242 (low profile revoliving lamp) NOS, and these are quite rare to begin with, nos is even more rare. turns out she has over 20! I bought two, and plan on buying more.
Then, a few days ago, I visit a heavy truck bone yard for an axel for my 81 shaker, and just asked if he has any old beacons for sale. brought me to a sea container and showed me a few old star strobe beacons, lenses and a blue federal model 14(?) mid 90s dual bulb, black base stainless retainer band. then he pulls down a very dusty dominion low profile single reflector revolving lamp! second one ive ever seen! the other is on a dumptruck in another wrecking yard. this is the low profile lamp with a target tech rotator and 55 watt bulb.
he later pulled down another box, inside was another low profile revolving lamp! NOS in a beat up box!
I got a 47" dominion auto turbo beam 4 rotator with a two section grill on its way over aswell.
I may buy two more of the sealed beam beacons for the back of my F550 since the water tank blocks my lightbar, all I have for rear warning is two federal 4" flashers to the rear. I did mount a 15" turbo beam to the tail board of the drivers side while doing wide load escorts, but for regular road work im thinking of a pair of the low profile lamps since the Excalibur is blocked
