Well this is how I spent my morning today... lol

We were dispatched to a medical call this morning... PT found stumbling along the roadway, unknown medical, PT was very disoriented and her clothes were soaked and tattered. Arrive on scene, and begin PT assessment, she states to us that she remember driving her Jeep, then remember being in an accident. She remembered alot of trees and being in the water... So with EMS with the PT, I went in search for the vehicle... I searched all the ponds in the immediate area with nothing founded. About 2-ish miles away I see a pull off that goes to the creek, so I check it just to be sure... I pull in the pull off and get out of my truck and notice fresh tire tracks... So I continue down to the creek and find this...

Then we got concerned that maybe she wasn't alone, so we had to check the vehicle... Luckily, I didn't draw the short straw... lol

Confirmed no on else in the vehicle. All there was to do was wait for the towing agency to come remove it...

Nothing overly spectacular... Just an odd call...

Wow. That's an eye-opener.

I read the title and wan't sure if recovery referred to the vehicle or a DOA. Glad it turned out for the best.

Uh, BTW, "this morning" is Friday, not Monday. :) Enjoy the weekend!

Nice pics and glad it wasn't any worse. Good "detective" work!

P.S. I'm waiting for the first comment about safety and the lack of PFD, ropes etc on that guy that investigated the vehicle.

We have wrecker operators on this forum, so I'll let them confirm or deny my suspicion: I think they love the call where they get to spool out the entire cable. :D

Spool was all the way out, plus a 10+ foot chain, and he had to back up a couple more feet... lol

The dog's job was to rev the engine when the winch bogged down.

LE wouldn't let them on the scene in my neck of the woods if the tow operators showed up dressed like that. Only thing missing from that video is a Hawian shirt lol.

No PPE, No boots. Wrong equipment for the job at hand, but if that's their only rig, you gotta use what you have I guess. Nice truck though! :)

Spooling/Unspooling cable makes no difference in a roll back towtruck.....most of them can only spool 100ft or less. Its the boom wreckers that can be a workout when you have over 200ft per drum on 2 winches lol.

Just one tower's opinion :)

Apparently she had gotten new meds and that messed with her mid a bit... Years ago, there actually used to be a bridge there, and I think in her mental state, she thought it was still there...
