I have a EQ2B Series B amp and two different control heads.
Curious if both of these are compatible with the EQ2B SB amp

Currently have it running off the 1st photo with the hard plastic push button and toggle switch for manual and air horn

I have a 2nd EQ2B without a control head but have a extra one with the soft rubberized buttons in the 2nd photo. Can i take a cat5 cable or what not and with the correct pinout connect it to the DB9 on the EQ2B amp and have that control head work?

Or is it not that simple and the other control head just isnt compatible? If its not then what are the pinout for the DB9 on the amp? Could enable the tones from a secondary light controller/switch to make it work?

Here is the install directions including pinout for the newer one.
Install Eq2B

And here it is for the older....
Install Eq2B Older

I have not dug through them to compare, but both documents are detailed.

I’m pretty sure I researched this once upon a time and the revisions between the heads were not compatible.

The soft button style is for the current production eq2b while the older version is specific to the legacy system.

Maybe wrong but that’s what I recall off the top of my head.

A call to FS should be able to confirm one way or another.

Respectfully,
Seth
