do you need EVT in florida for installing emergency lighting? sirens? is it regulated for all vehicles or only some.(I.E. brush trucks don't have to be tested/inspected yearly wheras pumpers do)?

just wondered, because i am trying to become a dealer, and it will help business a lot if i can do my own installs. just wondered though since a local cop does all installs in his department.

could cops that are up on this give a statute reference please?

yaeh, i was just wondering if all regulations might work in the same way, or if my logic is just flawed.

i think you are thinking of 2 different things. A Pumper needs to be PUMP tested every year, last time i checked brush trucks dont need to be. What exactly is your question?

if you are talking about emergency vehicle tech. i would say if you can get the cert. then do it. I am not sure you need to have it butto have anything to one up the next guy helps.
