Anybody planning on attending this year's FDIC show in Indianapolis? I believe I'll be attending the exhibit, at least 1 day, over the weekend. I'll be attending as a dealer/spectator just to see what product is now available (or will be) first hand. It'll be my first time at FDIC in 6 years and first time as a civilian.

If anyone else is going, perhaps we could all arrange a lunch or dinner? Hooters is near by!

This will be my first year, but I'm going up at least one day as a dealer / spectator.

I'm going to at least try to be there Saturday, as long as time permits. I'll update as it gets closer.

Looks like I'll more than likely be there Friday. I'm going as a dealer (I'll be at the Sound Off booth, but I'll be exploring the whole expo while I'm there...gotta see all the other cool stuff too), but some of the guys on my volly ambulance service are going down too with me for the day. I think that we are going to do Fogo's for lunch...maybe dinner. I'll update if things change. Let me know if you are planning on being there on Friday and we can see about meeting up for a little while.

I would like to have taken some photos, but no lie, it was so busy I never got to leave our booth. I'd arrive in the morning, go to the booth until the show closed, then right back to the hotel. Never got to see a single other exhibit.

Aside from a handfull of things, I think it may have been the worst FDIC show I have been to in the past 13 years. Many vendors that are regulars there were not present, and the stadium was a huge dissapointment, aside from the Tomar booth. Hopefuly next year is better.

It was good meeting you, Eric! Hopefully those lights are proving their value, for your buddy.

Good meeting you also! He is a little slow about getting things done, so it may be a few weeks before he gets them installed. I'll let ya know how he likes them once he gets it done.

This is an in service piece of apparatus, with less warning power than most apparatus from the 1980's. Upper rear: 2x RB6T; Lower Rear: 2x LIN3; Rear Side: 1x LIN3

The staggered approach to lighting. I've seen this done with 900-series LED lightheads, and I understand why they do it.

For an emergency warning device that cannot be turned off, these chevrons seem to be a compromise. This truck is all PowerArc.

This reminded me a little bit of ECTO-1.

A Code 3 RMX, two photos.

These are silly with directional LED lightheads installed only facing forward, two photos.

This is apparently there for preemption. I have mixed feelings about this, two photos.

I thought the clear section was supposed to be centered. The next photo is of the same truck.

The LIN3's here are a bit confusing. The previous photo is of the same truck.

This would be a great application for that little purple wire, "low power" mode.

All around this truck, they made cutouts for 900-series lightheads, and then installed M9 series lightheads. When asked about this , the gentlemen sitting around replied "the customer asked for it that way."

Here's the new Code 3 XP 9500. It's definitely different. Also, I like the vinyl graphics on the truck. Two photos.

The staggered 900-series seem to make a little more sense than the staggered 700-series at the top of my post. The photo below is of the same truck

Air horns through the bumper work better on vehicles with bumpers that don't curve like this. The photo above is of the same truck.

These tandem dual Pioneers block most of the intersection warning.

This Roto-Ray looks strange to me. It looks like PAR36 Tomar LEDs in PAR46 housings.

I really, really like this idea. I had never seen extinguishers in this location, but it makes so much sense!

Here's the new Code 3 RMX on display. It looks like MX7000 upper domes on RX2700 lower domes.
