Fed Sig & Whelen Purple/Violet/Magenta

Over the last year, I've been working hard on my collection of purple/magenta/violet funeral procession lights.

I'm curious what lights I'm unaware existed in purple (see lists below). I'm only focusing on dash lights, beacons, and mini bars. I'm also only focusing on Whelen and Federal Signal. Please comment if you see a light I've missed.

According to the 1985-86 Federal Signal Service Parts Index, magenta domes were available for the Beacon Ray models 17 through 176, which includes the Titan 312/372, and the Vitalite 121.

Thanks! Helpful to have that confirmed. I've seen a picture or two of a magenta 17 series dome, but I wasn't sure if it was factory or aftermarket. As far as I'm aware, the FireBall and FireBall II did not have magenta dome options.

Thanks Dan. Any idea about the FB2 or strobe FB2? Thinking the latter a possibility but no idea really.

That's why they offered the Flash Ball as the "poor man's Fire Ball". LOL

Another "was it offered in purple" question mark is the strobe version of the Whelen Cadet. Not even sure what the name/model is (Austin version was B100, I think). @dmathieu any idea?

Curtis B. (@DefianceEngineCompany on ELB, I think???), pointed me to the Whelen doc for the afformentioned "strobe Cadet" beacon - the Whelen 1010 (link to doc below). No violet listed, so I assume I can close the book on that light too. I've generally found the Whelen docs, particularly the newer-ish ones, to be pretty reliable color-wise.

That's one of the ones I'm looking for (well the dome is... I have an 800D light). The dome is the 800DH dome (H=high profile). I believe I've inquired about it before, and you weren't interested in selling it, but if anything has changed, pm me. I'm definitely interested and willing to pay well.

Gotcha, I wasn't trying to dangle bait, I just didn't remember you asking about it or if it was indeed the right lens. It's the only purple light I have in the collection. I will be in touch with you first if I decide to part with the lens.

Just focusing on Whelen and Federal in above lists and in my collection. Hard enough to figure out what was available in their product lines. SVP, Star, Sho-Me etc would push me over the edge!

LOL, That's exactly why my focus is restricted to Rota-Beam, Fire Ball, and "BeeHive" families. The more you have, the harder it is to collect.

The $45 price listed in 1956 is seriously expensive. That translates to $450 in 2021 dollars.
