Hi, I am wiring up a spare Unitrol 80k siren. However, when I'm placing the unit in ON/Standby mode (Where you can hear the main relay engage), i can feel this component encircled below, an RCD 175 getting too warm on standby mode without even playing any tones. The siren functions normally but im concerned with that component getting too hot to touch. Is that normal? Thank you.

@MtnMan would likely have a definitive answer, but my layman mind would believe that even when the unit is on but in standby mode, some components would still be receiving power and therefore heating up. I wouldn't imagine it should be to the point that you would get burned by touching the external case of the amp but I would think you would feel warmth.

Purely speculation and unhelpful, I know.

Thanks for the input. The outside case feels warm but nothing too excessive. The unit has been running on standby mode for 30minutes now as of speaking. Nothing bad has happened yet lol.
