The streethawk is already the brightest halogen bar to date, especially with the h155 watt bulbs, you shouldnt have a problem. does yours have the 795 bulbs or the h1? maybe you have a bad ground causing it to be dim? it has the largest focused parabolic reflectors aside from the old target tech bars.

the 795 is a 50 watt halogen, the h1 is 55. Unless you use a large mercury vapor streelight bulb, you already have the brightest

H-1 bulbs are available in 100 watts but I wouldn't recommend using them in a lightbar. 55 watt bulbs are the intended ones to use, as they are very effective, especially if you keep your lenses and/or domes cleaned and polished to prevent haziness. The extra heat generated by the brighter bulb would be a major issue, especially in an enclosed space under a colored reflector filter or inside a smaller outer dome, even though Code 3 commonly used them in the fast rotator under an MX7000 center dome. Plus, any reflector's surface would either flake or tarnish faster if it is metal or melt completely if it is plastic.

I had 100w bulbs in an XL5000 and it cooked the METAL reflectors.

+1 on what 03crownvic said. You may want to check your rotator reflectors.

The StreetHawk came with both alum. and plastic reflectors. If they're

dull, that will effect the flash.

H1 Bulbs come in 55 watt or 100 watt options.

In my opinion I hate lower level flashers, they distract the attention from the rotators.

From you're picture it looks like you plow snow to make money ;)

I would make all the lower level lights clear takedowns so

you can see what you're doing in those dark parking lots

I do not know for the US but here in Europe there are some special versions of the H1 55 Watt bulb that in some different ways give a higher light output with the same power as the standard bulb.

All the major manufacturers like Osram and Philips has these bulbs.

The life time might be shorter in favour of a higher light output.

Here are some of the different bulbs fom Philips:

BlueVision (BV)

SilverVision (SV)

NightGuide DoubleLife (NGDL)

X-treme Power (XP)

VisionPlus (VP)

EcoVision (ECO)

Premium (PR)
