Saw this in the garbage bin at our garage, looked old so I scoped it up just in case it's collectable... Are things things of any interest to collectors?ImageUploadedByTapatalk1433381754.734926.jpg

Yes and no. They are collectable in the sense that they're old and produce that "classic" Federal wail that rises halfway upon starting. They're highly sought after for restorations, too. They're very common though so they're not worth a lot. I'd pay $50-75 for one in working condition.

It depends which version it is.

The PA15As that were made in the late 1960s have serial numbers beginning with 1B, 1C, and 1D and have low-pitched wail and yelp tones.  They are definitely collectible and are period correct for any late 1960s to early 1970s emergency vehicle restoration.

The PA15As that were made in the 1970s have serial numbers beginning with 1E and have high-pitched wail and yelp tones that sound similar to the electronic sirens that are in use nowadays.  There were a lot of series 1Es made and they are easy to find.    1Es are collectible, but in my opinion they are not worth as much as the earlier versions.

Looks like it's a 1E. It's in rough shape.
Then you have the 1970s version. If you don't like that 'worn out' look you could wipe away the dirt on the control panel and give the chassis cover a new coat of paint.  Covers on PA15As are normally a light tan colour, although the last batch of the series 1E had grey covers and the modern FS logo.
