Feniex 4200DL Software - does version matter?

I need to re-program some settings in my 4200DL. There are three software versions

• 4200 DataLink Software v3, Windows (Products purchased after November 2021)
• 4200 DataLink Software, Windows (Products purchased prior to June 2018)
• 4200 DataLink Software v2, Windows (Products purchased after June 2018)

Has anyone tried using V3 software (current) when my 4200DL falls into the V2 category? ("Products purchased after June 2018")
I installed V3 but don't see anything different. Able to load my .xml config file into software too.
Wondering if there's anything new under the hood?
