Hello people! I recently won at ebay auction a Fireball FB12. I bought it as I frequently attend car meets with my '94 Crown Vic, and thought it would be a good attraction. I also always enjoyed a little rotative action. I tried to look for infos on that model, but only found stuff about the FB11. Just wanted to know what is the time period they've been producing the FB12, and everything else there is to know. Been looking at a few threads here and there about teardrops, and clearly I'm a noob, so... Thanks a lot, and have a great day.

FB11 and FB12 are the asme light, except for mounting. The 11 is magnetic portable, and the 12 is permanent mount. The FB11/12 were a series of engineering changes to the FB-1/2 original Fire Balls. The 11/12 changes came out in 1976. Below are some helpful links.

I guess mine has been modified then, since it has a round magnet screwed under its frame.

Correct, user modified. The magnet on the FB11 was rectangular in shape, and attached where the 2 black plastic plugs are/were.
Well by looking at the state of the screw, at least it's period correct still haha It looks like it's been there for ages.

So the FB12s were made starting from 1976? When did they stop making them?
