That's not a "modest collection" it's an "excellent collection of modest lights".

6th row down, all the way to the right. Looks like Whelen internals in a foreign dome and skirt.

this is a french beacon Sev Marchal, Model 1, 60's; It is true that the magnifying lens, they look identical! ...

may be inspired by Whelen, at the time!

Cyril, you have a rare, very early version of the RB11 Rota Beam. The light first came out in appx. 1956. Yours is from right around that time. Th RB11 dome retention was changed to an internal bend in the socket holders. Yours has the external mounting clips. I have 2 NOS, with shipping containers (cans), of this early vintage. As far as the base, I'm at a loss. It looks like it was bead blasted at some point. This color and texture of base was not an option, The very early base was made out of brass, and chrome plated, as opposed to the later stainless steel version.

I am very happy to have him!, not for the information you have just said, but because it is one of the gifts sent to me by a friend U.S.

But learning what you just told me, I appreciate even more!
