I have a couple F-S LED lights, amber on one side and white on the other, that require an external flasher. The two sides share a common power wire but have separate grounds. Can anyone identify the flasher I need for this light?
You need a negatively switched flasher. I am not sure of the exact model but i believe that Sho-Me has one. go to a website such as http://www.rimindustries.com and take a look around. Once you find one that you like, do some price hunting.
Whelen's TA controllers are also negatively switched, but they excessive to your needs. I am not familiar with the other major manufacturer's offerings...
I checked out the Able 2 flashers on the site you linked but didn't readily see what looked right. I emailed Able 2 and they replied promptly but with amp draw questions I couldn't answer. Maybe they'll come up with something yet.....
Opened the light up and the hots were simply joined in series. Separated them and any old LED flasher works. I guess this was my attack of dumba** for the week! Thanks for the replies though!
That's good to hear, simple is always the best. If you don't already have one and since any old flasher would work I would recommend the Sho-Me LED Flasher with 27 Flash patterns, pretty cool patterns and good price.
