Good Morning ELB,
I retired from Full Time work last year, and have been collecting "Red Lights" since c. 1984.
I have been on ELB for a while, but now I have much more time to do hobbies.
As a bit of trivia, I have been carrying a gun at work since the 1989 release of Belgian Techno-Anthem "Pump Up the Jam." Really, like within a week.
I will be selling some items with the intent of making my Red Light warehouse into more of a clubhouse. I will continue to look at Wanted posts in case I have something you might need. Small items are fine to ship; I may do an estate haul listing in the future, if that's appropriate. I have no real time plan for any of that.
Miscellaneous Info:
First Light: Johnson Smith catalog 3 D Cell suction cup rotating red light, c.1977. Suction cup was later replaced with a scrap 2x4 so the dome would sit above the rim of my wagon.
First Real Light: Model 16, in Blue, quickly followed by a Red FireBall, c.1984
First At Work Light: Model 16s, strangely enough, on SAC PKs
First Lightbar: Code 3 SD with Select-Alert and Night Probe (mistakenly traded that for something), c. 1985
First Brand New Light: FireBall II B1 with custom split Red and Blue dome, made of two domes cut off-center to avoid the shield screw, c. 1987.
Pilgrimaged: Federal Signal factory tour, and later, CHP Fleet Operations
Likes, Generally: Steady Red, and CIE Blue; Unitrol Wail and Alpha Q and BL627 Mech tone
TDC: Report system routing abbreviation for Traffic Division C Shift (Mids) reports
Thank You, I hope to talk with more of you soon. TDC
