Grote 7633

I just received a Grote 7633 beacon. It's not in the best shape but it works reasonably when powered up. Inside of it, there is what appears to be a turn signal flasher that flashes the two sealed beam lamps simultaneously while they rotate. Is that how a Grote 7633 was originally designed, or is this somebody's aftermarket hack?

Post a pic! That's sounds interesting with the flasher hooked up to a rotating beacon.

Shues,

I think this is aftermarket. This is my NOS Grote 7633, straight from a dealer, and no flasher is hidden inside.

The only 2 options I've personally seen for that beacon is 2 or 4 beacons.

Here's mine, straight out of the box.

Hope this helps :)

What is a Grote 7633?

This light should be Grote 7622.

I have never seen any 7633 i any of my Grote catalogs or on their web site.

But there is still a name tag showing the number 7633.

I search the Grote web site and they mention the 7633 regarding spare parts.

I do not see any difference between the 7622 and the 7633.

Do anyone know the differences or why there are different model numbers?

Huh, that's really weird why somebody would do that. Maybe it was for some other purpose, perhaps?

This is a really old post that I found doing a search for Grote. Anyone figure out the difference in a 7622 and 7633? According to this ad it is the makeup of the dome. Acrylic is standard and the 7633 is Polycarbonate.
