I picked up this little spot light yesterday. the Half Mile Ray No. 1075, manufactured by the Portable Light company, which was part of Sireno. It's a pretty cool light in really good condition. I put an 1156 bulb in it and it works just fine. This is suppose to e a 7.5 volt battery operated light but the EN715 batteries are no longer made. It's suppose to use a 964 bulb, which is also not being made any longer. there is one site that has them for $30 each, but I don't want it that bad. I think I can modify something to work. I can create a battery using C or AA batteries in a fabricated box.

Anyone know of a good alternative battery and bulb to use that is already out there? It doesn't have to be 7.5 volts for sure.

You could use an 1156 led bulb, one I found has a 10-30v range, and buy a cordless tool battery adapter.

Something like this;
