I cant seem to figure out how these stay in place. I was told they are easier that regular strobes but it just doesn't make sense. I didn't drill yet but i cut a hole the right size into a piece of cardboard to see if i could figure it out. Anyone who can help it would be greatly appreciated.

that appears o be a pop in strobe tube.

just as the name states it just pops in the hole you drilled and that rubber ring around is "supposed" to create a good connecton to keep it from moving.

thats why alot of people prefer screw ins.

Is there not a difference between push ins & twistlocks? I thought twistolocks had to go in fixtures with notches so you could twist it & lock it in place.

You do have the twist lock strobe tube. However they will not work for a HAW application. They require a specific housing to fit into, one you cannot duplicate on your head lights. Get pop in or screw in style and you are good to go.
