Has anyone installed grill lights in a newer Silverado/Sierra with the active shutters in the grill? If so how? What kind of lights? Do you have any pictures?

I want to install some in my 2017 Silverado but after reading about the shutters in the grill I am nervous about installing anything in the grill with them.

I did a grille install on a 16 Ram with AGS and had no problems. The actual grille was separate with about 6 inches of clearance between it and AGS. I did 4 Feniex T6 (fusion) size heads. My '17 Sierra 2500HD doesnt have AGS.

Thanks! Did you attach the lights to the grille? How? In the past, I have installed the grille lights to the radiator brackets.

I used stainless steel toggle bolts and sandwiched them in. You can accomplish the same thing with fender washers, bolts, and nuts with nylok inserts. Rock solid amd never moved. Plus no drilling holes for cleaner removal.

Do you have a pic of this method? I am very interested.
