help ss2000sm

i just installed a used ss2000sm and programed it fully, when i was finishing up and testing it,the key pad was not turning on. The power and ground are good. When i plug in the wire-harness all the lights turn on for 3 seconds any ideas what might have caused it to stop working

Did you remember to plug in the Main Red wire to a constant 12v supply. This is the wire that goes inside the unit. If you are looking at the back of the siren where all the wires go into it will be the one on the top right of the controller.

yes the unit was working fine till i started adjusting the cord which is after market
