I just found this forum. Good to see so many people with like interests in the vintage equipment.
I started in LE in '78. My first patrol car had a "Double Bubble" Federal Visabar. I've worked with lots of different stuff over the years. Of course all the stuff we use now is LED. I still prefer the old rotating beacons. You just cant beat a Twinsonic sync'ed just right. (See the Blues Brothers "Oh Sh*t, Rollers" scene). I have a collection of various stuff. My favorite is the Code Three square bar version of the Twinsonic. I have one in pristine condition. Clear domes and 8 rotating sealed beams. NICE! I just bought a nice Twinsonic off a retired fire truck. Red/red currently, but I'm gonna put clear domes on it to match the Code Three. Nice addition to the man cave...

Be safe!

Welcome aboard. Love that pic in your Avatar. Looks well equipped.
Lots of knowledge and pics of warning history around here. Look forward to pics of your treasures hopefully.

Welcome! I am also in Houston. I am also restoring a couple of Houston PD cars. I am about 1/2 through with the 1996 Caprice and will start on the 80's caprice after that!
