I recently purchased a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck. Does anyone know or know where I can find out if this truck requires that special "ground sided flasher"?

Also remember that per Sound Off, you need to have the low beams on for the flasher to work.

I've noticed this on several vehicles that required a ground-side switched flasher. Why is this?

On this truck the hot side is switched to control if the lights are on and the ground is switched to select between high and low beams.
