I don't know much about dietz but I saw an old Dietz beacon for sale at a local electronic store. It's the large one with 4 beams inside. It's doubt it's NOS but looks close to it. How much is that thing worth in amber?

In the late sixties and early seventies, the Dietz four beam beacons competed favorably with the Federal Model 184, and the domes were interchangeable.

As I recall, the Federal dome has a panned-ridge lip on top of the dome, whereas the Dietz dome rounded over just slightly. Others on the forum may have pictures.

I see what your saying. I have a model 184 powerlight and a big sireno beacon with a clear and blue dietz

dome that fit both of them perfectly, all 4-beam, 4-beam.
