I have a UHF Motorola MT2000 radio, 48 channels, and top display. I have it programmed already for receive only, I just need a few more frequencies programmed in it (receive only). Is there anyone on here who can do it, for a price?

There are a few folks on Ebay that offer the service for a reasonable price with good feedback. I've never personally done it though.

Is it a federal model? I ran into 4 of these once out of PA. The regular software didnt work on programming them.

chances are its not federal. Is it model 1,2,3? If it has a front display you can check the firmware revision by pressing the lower small black button 5 times right after you turn the radio on. I can program MTs

We do all our own programming at our FD, although we don't have any MT2000's. I'm sure if we have or could find the right cable, we probably have the software to program it. What state / area are you in?

I'll check with my LT who does the programming with me and see if we have the stuff to do it. If so, I'm fairly certain we could do it for close to nothing other than shipping. It's not really labor intensive, just a matter of having the stuff. I'll post back after I ask him.

We've never tried to do an MT2000. We can do the HT series, and the MT1000, so if the cable would be the same we probably have or could get the software for it. Maybe someone else on here can tell me if the HT cable fits that one? I've never actually seen an MT2000 in person, so I'm not sure, and I'm at work, so my researching ability is a little limited at the moment.

If that's the case, we've got the cable. I'm working doubles all weekend, so I won't be around the firehouse much, but I'll shoot my LT a text and ask him to make sure we have the right software.
