Does anyone know if a whelen headlight flasher # UHF2150B/2005 police model will work on a 2005


civilian impala or if it just takes a solid state flasher could also work. I also a have a sound off solid


state headlight flasher

Those year model Impalas use GROUND SIDE SWITCHING flashers. Most Ground Side switched flashers are relay driven. The Whelen you reference is a plug and play for the police package that you would need to decipher the wiring on the plugs in order to use it.


You would be better off utilizing a non-plug-n-play ground side switched that already has the wiring specified. As long as the solid state flasher you have is GROUND SIDE SWITCHED, you can use it.
