Interior vs Exterior Lighting

A little background, I will be installing everything on a POV Ford Interceptor Sedan. I’m an assistant chief at an volunteer EMS agency, and primarily respond to the scene. We have major highway and a state route in our district, and have several decent wrecks a year. Otherwise I’m responding to houses for sick calls in a mostly rural area

I plan on doing an install shortly on this vehicle, and am debating between doing an inner edge front and rear, or a legacy light bar for my primary lighting.

What is the better route for my application? Also, does a light bar actually reduce MPG?

Agreed. A roof mounted bar - even a mini bar like Feniex - is most effective by far. Also no flashback, which is almost always an issue to some degree. I would also recommend a couple of grille lights - Feniex T3's are hard to beat.

If you have issues with the cosmetic aspects of a roof mounted bar then it's a different conversation.

I would venture to say that a modern low profile bar or mini bar will have very negligible effect on fuel economy.

If you put a Twinsonic or a Streethawk bar up there, well...........
