Just found this. Thought it looked cool. Headliner mount.

Recieved the light today. Very nice!

To my surprise, it has a quick disconnect feature, where the light can be removed from the mount and wiring with a simple push of a button at the top of the shaft.

My son informed me that the Quick Disconnect plug used on this light is a (Switchcraft, as it is marked) microphone plug.

It sure is. Specifically it's known as an XLR type connector. They're used for a number of things in the audio/visual industry... most commonly it's utilized for balanced audio applications.

That light is a very fascinating use of the connector. I've never seen anything like that before!

I recently bought 2 Dominion Auto lights that were used as DJ lights and therefore modified to be connected with XLR connectors too.

Hi Skip, no, not Cop-Lite, it has a par 46 bulb.

Well, I thought it looked like a PAR46 in the picture. I'd bet it's bright through a windshield! I have a LED visor light that's nice enough, but what you've got would be nice: steady-burn or flashing!

Oh Yeah......It's bright!

I figured that! I saw a cop movie based in CA one time that had a very bright steady burn light next to the mirror. But it was square, like the newer style halogen fog lights, etc. With that design, I doubt that it was a sealed beam, but maybe a halogen bulb behind the red lens. Whatever......you could really see it!
