So at this point with nothing but free time on my hands I started organizing the basement.. Which if you listen to the Mrs. was long overdue... but who does that?

And with that said I uncovered a bar I had acquired probably when I first started lurking here and it sat collecting dust until this morning.

The original owner.. may or may not have been a member on here, and he did his best with what he had to make due. So tape on the top of the domes for the blackout, and he made feet out of wood. Both were fine for display, but now that I have my sights on this bar.. they have to go.

First thing was to remove the wood blocks and put Jet series feet on it, then when taking the domes off I noticed that the interior is MINT. Next up is to find suitable replacement domes... Either new or used so long as I can make them presentable.

TLDR..

Blue side has damage and is no good as-is..

Did Federal synch these in any particular fashion?
I am looking through my documentation and I see aiming the reflector, but nothing about synching.

Since it's chain driven an it counter rotates we know it did but I couldn't tell you how they were aimed. Given the rotator and mirror angles I would first synch the fronts to each other then the rears with each other then the fronts with the rears. Did I make sense?

As I recall, the flash pattern was, from the front, inboard to outboard, with the rear rotators to provide the last flash to the front. If the outboard rotators are position 1; inboard rotators position 2; mid mirrors position 3 and inboard mirrors position 4, it would be a 1,4,3,2 flash pattern. It provided a slightly different sequence to the rear: 1,2,4,3.

Excellent bar, @Stampeed Valkyrie!

Ok, so synching this bar is a PITA.

The rear rotators can be manipulated by removing a c-clip on an idler gear.
The front rotator, you need to drive a roll pin out to remove the idler gear connected to the chain.
Then you can reposition the front rotator.

Without specifics I aimed the reflectors to match another jet series bar that I had which can be found here.. Start @ 6:05 to see flash pattern

Ok so I "took" the domes from the blue Jet in the video above to replace the taped domes it originally had.

I also synched the rotators to match the blue Jet above.
