Hello fellow ELB members!

This time I have another exciting addition to my collection! This is a super hard to find European all-light Streethawk brand new in the box. What make this lightbar so special are three things: 1. The dome and lens colors, 2. the matching "E2" numbers and 3. only three rotators! One of my collector friends in Germany found this needle in the haystack for me. All the upper domes are c.i.e. blue and the two front lower lenses too!

The domes have the European regulation approval stamp embossed in them. These numbers match the approval sticker found on the nameplate as well. I think the lightbar has only three rotators due to these regulations. The lower front two lights flash simultaneously and alternate with the rear lower amber lights. I added one pic with two domes side by side. The one on the left is a US blue and the one on the right is the C.I.E. blue. It is hard to tell in pictures, but trust me the US blue looks teal compared to the cobalt blue looking C.I.E. dome! I am very pleased to add this one to my Federal signal Euro lights! Let me know how you like it though!

would seem rather dull to not have the rotators bouncing off mirrors, but other than that...........its gets an AWESOME from me :)

a very bare bones type looking lightbar compared to what we are used to seeing here in the US, but still very unique. congrats on the find.

yeah, but you know thats what they are used to. they are used to just having two beacons on the roof. lightbars just came along only in the last decade or so and even then only with a couple rotators. you can't compare them with what we know or have.

it sounds like they may have some strict emergency light restrictions overseas. i've heard on a few occasions that our lightbars are too bright and the lights draw the drivers of approaching vehicles into the emergencyvehicles. if there is something to that maybe there's something behind the european countries light regulations.

Yes,most of your thougts are truth, your bars in USA are more brighter, had more amp.draw so in most casses the battery can be too quickly empty and your bars cover different angles.

in out country here in Europe for example we can have 2 rotators on each sides only if they are synchronisise usually with the silicon belt driving both of the rotators or

you can have one rotator on each sides and you can throw in the bar as many mirrors as you want, but NO rotators assembly more then one one each sides except synhronisise like i said earlier.

here in Europe the fire and rescue vehicle cars can have only blue domes at police cars it depend from country to country if they have red/blue.in my country red domes are expesually

using just for diplomat conways and i saw on some fire trucks which one of the trucks is the leader this one can have one red rotator light on the stick tube and it's a headleader.

yes here in Europe the blue domes are very dark usually, very stupid in my apinion,so if you look good you can't even see the rotators spining just the rotator flash.

when i was young i was always inpesed by rotators when you see them spining and the parabolic reflector was shining under the dome when i looked

americen movies,so that's the art on rotators, leds are just blinking, exceapt in california THEY HAVE STEADY BURNSSSSSS! :) I LOVE THEM!

that's our politision here in Europe or i should say in my country,if you like this you are very welcome. :)

True. In Europe it seems to me like nobody likes to make their emergency vehicles nice looking and bright flashing. They just put a blue beacon, or a simple blue bar on the roof and that's it. Sure, it will do the job, but why not to make it nicer? I recently saw this vid. on Youtube of FDNY engine carrying U.S flag at the rear. JUST LOVE IT ! Can't imagine anything like that here in Europe.

And that regulation upon emergency lights is just like denko3 said. In my country you're only allowed to use dark blue domes (not very visible, and boring too). Also there is an E.U. regulation about red domes that says: no red light can face to the front of the vehicle. (this regulation has been recently changed as many E.U. countries just didn't obey that). Also, many lightbars just doesn't meet the homologation requirements, which makes them illegal and that can be a problem, in case your vehicle is involved in an accident. So everybody just uses blue lightbars from local producers, and you hardly see anything more cool. Why is it like that? I don't know.

yes davetess i totaly aggree with you!

they are really boring usually i hope now when there is so much leds avaliable(I HATE THEM!) there will be I HOPE more interesting build emergency cars and more wide choises of lightbars on them.

I HOPE NOT BORING AGAIN like now when rotators are still in use.

i must say i see sometimes some old USA bars on firetrucks in my country(i get one from an old fire truck here near me in fire station and it was aerodynic 24XQ blue/blue :) ) but never see them in action with lights ON.

about out Europe homologation it ''socks'' must say, very poor options for use.

is all of EU the same. i know UK has never liked to follow the rest

British emergency vehicles usually use more lights than ones from mainland Europe, but still not as many as ours here.

Very.very nice. Also thanks for the lesson I really never knew the difference from blue and C.I.E. blue. Now I do.
