LED hideaways in DRL positions

Has anyone had any luck putting LED hideaways in the DRL positions on the new Chevy Tahoes? My pursuit package Tahoe has the DRLs disabled and I doubt they will ever be used. I was thinking of replacing the bulbs with some sort of LED. If you have done it, how hard was it and what brand of LED did you use? Everything on it now is Whelen and I was thinking about a set of Vertex but not sure how that would work. Oh, and if anyone has any pics or vids that would be great. Thanks everyone.

Yes they kick ass in them, i did a set in my SAR supervisor's tahoe and thats the only place i now recommended installing haws on them! I also have tri's in the OEM holes in my 96 Impala SS and they do a pretty good job! But in the tahoes/siverados/ 1500's etc... thats the best place to put them!

I don't recommend the vertex's i'd get either axixtech tri's or sound off universal undercover's, those are the only ones i install for my customers, i installed a set of vertex's once and they were very unhappy with the performance of them. Or if your on a tight budget check out Pimp's new led hide aways people seem to be pretty impressed so far. http://www.arklamisslights.com/webstore/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=18&products_id=39

Oh, this is sounding better and better already. I was actually leaning to the SoundOff undercovers (30 flashpatterns!) more than the Vertex. I have Vertex them mounted in the fog lamp blanks. They work good as a surface light but not so good as a hideaway.

Thanks Cajun, my search-fu aint as strong as yours. How diffcult is the install? If it requires alot of mod I just might have to make me a trip to Lafayette after a few hours of overtime and let a pro do it.

All it takes to do is take out the bulb, cut the socket off, cap the wires, then drill two tiny holes for the law screws, screw the laws in and bam, your done! Doesn't take to long to do!

I've thought about putting a set of HAWs or LAWs in the DRLs of my Avalanche... Since my DRLs are a completely separate light housing...

My DRLs are the amber lights next to my fog lights... I think a HAW or LAW would look sweet there...
