So the Liberty II seems off the charts brighter then the original. My question is are the inboard LEDS still the original 500's or do they have a unique Liberty II pod?

Thanks

They are unique to the Liberty II. They bolt to the bottom chassis which increases the heat dispersion immensely. This is why you can flash all 12 diodes on an inboard module vs. only 6 at a time on the original 500 series design. They are tested at 15% brighter than the series 1 bars and include a photo cell for dimming at no additional charge if ordered that way from the factory.
