Who are the different manufacturer's out there that make these brackets? Tried using the search function but didn't get a whole lot of info. I don't even know who makes the one I have on the back of my Jeep. I've seen Whelens, and I'm just looking to see what other designs are out there. R. Dodd's look neat I'm just not sure they'd fit my application. Also tried googling these with little success. So let me know where you got yours from and wether or not you like it.

Thanks, Jason C

I use Tomar LP Brackets. They make LP Brackets for the Rect13 and Rect 14. If I need intersection warning I use the 10-75 Bracket.

Havis makes the best license plate brackets that I have seen, they offer all four positions and workmanship is great (tapped holes and included machine screws). There are several companies including Sirennet & Needlights that sell a four position bracket that is much lower quality, the holes aren't tapped and you end up using the metal screws that are included with the lighthead leaving a sharp point on the back that you have to dremmel off.

Does havis make a LP Bracket for the Rect14? It would be the same size as the Whelen Lin4.

Anyone else know of any others? The one that I have on the back of my jeep is a one piece bracket that is unlike whelen's or havis shields. Thanks for those of you that replied with links to websites that have them.

I think the Havis will fit the Rect14's . They are made for the TIR3's but are long enought for a longer lighthead.

I think we demand a HOW TO :) Flat aluminum stock from Home Depot?

I think i'll actually do that when i buy some tir3's, i'll do it with both vertical and horizontal mounting!

As requested gents...

Go to Home Depot in the lumber section. On one of the end of hte aisles, they have metal strapping that has predrilled holes in it. It is available in 4 "-24" lengths. No more than around $2.00 each. Buy some shallow flat head bolts and nuts in the hardware section. That's it, all the parts for around $5.00

Take a spare license plate or the one off your vehicle, lay it on the strip, trace the 2 holes at the top of the plate onto the metal strip using a black marker. Place the leds on the side of the plate, draw a line from top to bottom just at the edge of the led to hide the metal, but allow the screw to tap into the metal on the led.

Drill the appropriate holes for the screws and 1 hole in the center behind the led to allow the wire to pass.

Route the wire to the center of the plate and zip tie them to the metal strap, which will be all hidden behind the plate.

Route the wire down to the 2 lower screw holes on the plate. You will only mount the plate using the top screw holes, the lowers will not be used. They will be used to allow the wire to pass into your vehicle, if an suv. This is a no hole, cheap way to mount your leds to the rear of your vehicle.

This is what I used on a few vehicles so far with no problems at all...very low profile and professional looking...

These are manufactured and sold by Fleet Safety Supply in Naperville, IL

It is two brackets that use existing screws for the license plate. They are powdercoated black and tapped to accept TIR3, LIN3, and the LINZ6 (using the tir3 style flange)

PM me if your interested in learning how to order them

They also sell them that allow two lightheads next to each other using the dual flange, but i'm not sure on the price of that.

In regards to a longer lighthead, they did produce them for the LIN4s at one point and you might be able to order one.
