Lt. Wigan was killed and an OHSP Trooper was injured when a semi collided with apparatus at an accident scene yesterday on I-71, near SR 301 in Wayne county.

He had served with TCFD since 2006, being promoted to lieutenant in 2011 and hired on full time in 2014. Philip leaves behind a wife and 2 children. Wigan was pronounced dead at the scene, both the trooper and the semi driver were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
