OK, here's a project that I've been working on. This is a collection of pictures only, of probably the most rebadged Rotating light out there.
So far, I have found FOURTEEN (14) companies that have marketed the NORTH AMERICAN SIGNAL CO. MODEL BB BANTAM BEAM under their own badge. Any further companies and pictures would be appreciated. I took pics of the light, and close-up of the label.
North American Signal Model Action Lite BB Bantam Beam
Northern Signal Co. Blitzer Model BL 1100
Arrow Safety Device Co. Model 528
Yankee Metal Products Model 1161
Signal, a Lukens Co. Model 2505
Esco Lite Model 326
Peterson Mfg. Co. Model 756
The Griffin Lamp Company Model 367
J. C. Whitney & Co. Model Tri-Beam

Nice collection of photos that will be good to have here for future knowledge and projects.

I do not want to correct you but BB stands for Bantam Beam.

Until the next update and all of the photos are gone.. lol..

Nice. Didn't realize all of these lights were made by the same company. I have the Peterson 756. An early purchase right after I started collecting. It's a more effective light than I expected for sure.

If you find a newer one with plastic lenses instead of glass, you'll be surprised at how much brighter the plastic is. Better optical quality.

Swap out the 1195 for a 795X halogen and the flash will be even better. I have a PM 756 in red and tried it, very bright and eye catching.

Excellent post and yes, that particular beacon has been around for a long time and was sold under a large variety of labels.

Here are my two lights, both are Peterson 756M models. The red one was made in 1991(The year I started in the fire service) and the amber is a 2008 manufacture. I have replaced the standard incandescent 1195 bulb with a halogen 795X in both lights. I think this little upgrade improves the flash significantly. Both are still in use in my personal vehicle, though they are not used for emergency response. SIMG_20190330_100654478_HDR.jpgScene use only for the red and the amber for pull outs or short distance towing/hauling of oversized loads. Yes I know there are better LED options but I am partial to this design and actual rotating lights. The rare times they are used, they work fine.

Your last picture in the original post...the Signal 2505 -- I just bought that light online for $25.00. It needs some TLC, but it works! Seller had the bulb wired wrong, but fixed that. I'm trying to find a lens for it and the strap that holds the lens on. If anyone sees this and has those items please let me know! I'm also interested in maybe finding a clear regular lens and then for the smaller lenses finding some that are colored to alternate the flash color . . . just a thought, but I'll worry about that after I get it fixed up and finding a regular lens for it.
